How to see your doctor

You will be registered with the practice but will be given a usual doctor to see. We like to see our own patients whenever possible as this improves continuity of care.

Non-urgent problems. Appointments can be made with your doctor by calling at the surgery or phoning 01322 668833 between 8am - 12 noon or between 3.30 - 5.30pm on weekdays. We currently allow booking of appointments up to two weeks in advance

Urgent problems. Please phone the surgery between 8.00 - 10.00am or between 2.30 - 4.30 weekdays for urgent problems. You may be offered telephone advice or an appointment with doctor or nurse depending on your needs. Please follow the link for Urgent appointments for further information.

Home visits. These are usually for patients who are housebound. Please make every effort to come to the surgery if you can. If you require a home visit please phone 01322 668775 before 10.30am if possible. Your doctor may ring you prior to visiting.

Telephone advice. If you require phone advice but do not actually need to see a doctor eg. to discuss test results we offer some telephone appointments. Please ring appointments on 01322 668833 as above. We also offer urgent telephone appointments with the duty doctor for problems not requiring a face-to-face consultation - see urgent problems above. NHS Direct is often useful for healthcare advice

Test results. Please phone 668775 between 12 - 2.00pm for results when the phone lines are quieter

Out of hours. When the surgery is closed (6.30pm - 8.00am weekdays and all day Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays), an out of hours service is provided by the Primary Care Trust and is based at Darent Valley Hospital. Please ring 01322 668775 for a recorded message that will tell you how to contact the service (currently 01322 223361). Alternatively you can phone NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or visit their website by clicking www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk
