For patients We are a training practice for doctors wishing to enter general practice. Sometimes consultations are videoed for training purposes. In this case you will be asked for your consent both before and after the consultation, which you can refuse without affecting your care. All recordings are erased after a maximum of 6 months
For registrars We are a long-standing training practice on the south-east edge of London. We have two trainers - Dr. Steve Gregson linked to the Sidcup VTS and Dr Jenny Rush attached to the Dartford VTS. The main attractions of The Oaks as a training practice are: Full involvement and commitment of all partners and staff to training, so there's always someone to ask Purpose-built modern premises shared with PCT staff (upstairs) so you benefit from easy access to the whole primary care team. There is a dedicated registrar room (the largest consulting room in the building) which also houses the library. We are fully computerised including scanning of incoming correspondence and try to keep near the leading edge of medical IT development. We have a very diverse practice area giving broad experience Swanley is on the edge of London just inside the M25 with good rail links to London, good access to rural Kent, motorways and the Channel ports
